14 athletes · 4 coaches · 2 days · $1,600 · applications open January 1, 2027 by coach or director referral
Not another camp of two hundred.
Heatwave is built for the player who already trains hard and wants a summer edge she can't get at her club or a big camp. Every session is one skill, taught by a coach who teaches it for a living at the college level.
College coaches lead
A college head or assistant coach leads every session, joined by three experienced club coaches so every rep gets feedback.
Small by design
Fourteen athletes on two courts with four coaches: one coach for every 3.5 players. We keep each group to similar ages and levels so the work stays at the top end.
One skill, all day
Setting, Hitting, or Libero & Defense: two days, six hours a day, on a single skill set. Each athlete leaves with written feedback from the lead coach.
The Summer Sessions
Eight sessions. Pick your skill.
Every session is two days: position sessions for ages 14–16 and an all-skills session for ages 11–12. $1,600 per athlete. Sessions run in June and July 2027; dates are announced with applications.
Setting
Footwork to the ball, hands, location under pressure, running an offense, and decision-making off bad passes.
Hitting
Approach, arm swing, contact point, shot selection against a block, and transition attacking for pins and middles.
Libero & Defense
Serve receive, platform and angles, reading hitters, floor defense, and the libero's job as a leader and a setter.
11/12 All Skills
The fundamentals done right, early: passing, setting, serving and attacking, taught by the same caliber of coach.
